How to Make a Tissue Paper Pumpkin Craft for Kids

If you are making this project with little ones, you can cut the tissue paper ahead of time for them. Kids will have a blast choosing the colors they want to use and gluing them to the template.

This pumpkin tissue paper craft a great activity for one or for a whole classroom! So lets get out the glue and scissors and get started.

How to Make a Tissue Paper Pumpkin Craft

Supplies you will need:

  • Free Pumpkin Template
  • Assorted Colors of Tissue Paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Brown and Green Construction Paper
  • Pencil (optional)

Pumpkin Crafts for Preschoolers

First, lets download and print the pumpkin template. If you are a member of my Free Printables Library, go ahead and print your template now. Next, cut up several small squares of tissue paper in your desired colors.

How to Make a Tissue Paper Pumpkin

Using the end of a pencil, wrap the tissue paper pieces around the eraser to help shape the tissue paper pieces. Then glue onto your pumpkin template. Repeat adding the tissue paper until you fill up each area of the template.

Finish the pumpkin with some construction paper pieces for the stem and leaf.

How to Make a Tissue Paper Pumpkin Craft

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Active Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

Materials

  • Free Printable Pumpkin Template
  • Assorted Colors of Tissue Paper
  • Glue
  • Green and Brown Construction Paper

Tools

  • Scissors
  • Pencil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by downloading and printing out the free pumpkin template.
  2. Next, cut tissue paper into small squares
  3. Using the end of a pencil, wrap the tissue paper squares around the end of the eraser to help form the shape.
  4. Then glue the tissue paper onto the pumpkin template
  5. Fill in the pumpkin template with more tissue paper
  6. Finish the pumpkins by cutting out a stem and leaf from the construction paper and gluing onto the pumpkin template.
